Chesterfield braced for SEVEN hours of heavy snow TODAY, with weather warning in place

The Met Office is forecasting heavy snow every hour between 10am and 4pm.
There is a yellow warning of snow and ice in place until 9pm today, Thursday, January 14, with road closures and public transport delays or cancellations possible, the potential for power cuts, and a caution that untreated pavements and cycle paths may be dangerous or even impassable.

Hide AdMore snow could be in store this weekend too, with an additional yellow weather warning in place on Saturday between 3am and 9pm, when the Met Office says a band of heavy snow may lead to travel disruption.
