Foyle snapped up by Gladiators
DEFENDER Ashley Foyle is Matlock Town's second summer signing.
MATLOCK Town have announced their second signing of the close season with the arrival of 21-year-old Ashley Foyle from Lincoln United.
The former Chesterfield youth team captain, who skippered the young Spireites to a league title, can play at centre-half and right-back and has two league appearances to his credit.
Foyle has also played for Accrington Stanley and was part of Buxton's 2006/07 UniBond First Division title winning side.
Foyle has played with many of the Chesterfield youth players who have been involved at Matlock including Steve Warne, Andy Richmond, Jamie Jackson and Reuben Wiggins-Thomas.
His signing follows the recruitment of left wing-back Lee Featherstone from Ilkeston Town.
The Gladiators are hoping to announce the signing of a striker in the next few days.
