Madam,

I was concerned about the possible banning of A boards, in Bakewell (Mercury, May 8).
As a visitor to Bakewell, I rely on the A boards to direct me to the shops/cafes etc that I am looking for.

Rather than banning them altogether, perhaps an agreement on maximum size could be considered.

Obviously there are locations where a board on the pavement could be dangerous, and an alternative solution could be discussed.

I am sure that removal of the boards completely, will result in loss of custom for many small businesses in Bakewell.

Sink or swim?
I use the pool and want it kept open
I do not use the pool but believe the money should be used to keep it open for others
I think the money should be used and put to other use by the council
