Lucky to have pool facilities?

Madam,

I felt I had to write in after firstly attending the farcical meeting at the town hall over the Lido on Thursday when it appeared to be more important to score points against each other than to sort out a major problem in the town and then going for a swim at the teaching pool on Sunday.
"How lucky we are" we were told at the meeting to have such good facilities. Have any of the councillors been to the pool recently?

In the teaching pool there is a massive amount of paint peeling off the walls – how does this happen? It has been like it for months at least six that I can remember.

As for the changing rooms there was no shampoo or units to put any in near the showers, cracked and broken tiles in the showers.

In the main changing area there are lots of places where the floor covering has peeled up or broken on the joints, which is very sharp and dangerous – my four year old tripped on some today.

We should count ourselves lucky to have such great facilities !!. I just hope the councillors take on board how disappointed the majority of Matlock is in them with the Sherwood Hall closure and now the Lido problems.
