To all the people that tell me and others that you cannot park outside their homes, that's rubbish.

What about the world and his dog succeeding to park outside mine!!

I, as other residents, have no right to tell people where they can or cannot park on public highway.

These roads are adopted by Derbyshire County Council, not owned by residents.

After a Saturday evening shift at work, I returned home to find as usual nowhere to park. So I parked it in the nearest available space.

On the Sunday morning my family wanted to go swimming and found our car blocked in. As it turned out very deliberately.

After a heated exchange we called the police who then said we were right. It is a public road, we can park there.

My family is now a one vehicle family and I'm fed up to my back teeth of other people telling us where we can or cannot park our one vehicle.

The only way to go with this issue is if people only park one of their family cars down the street and park it considerately and courteously.

Also let's park outside our own houses, it's what we all want!

Perhaps we should ask the council to put marked bays in and remove the islands with trees to make more room.

Whatever the answer, it's not by arguing or declaring you own the road outside your house and causing bad feeling down the street.
