Community workers hope a £1,000 award will help bring a breath of fresh air to their Peak District premises.
The Medway Centre in Bakewell won the grant in the O2: It's Your Community awards. It will use the money to improve its garden area, with the help of a disabled group.

Centre manager Margie Stuckey said: "We've used some of the cash for new tables and adults with learning difficulties from the Enable Housing Association will do some new planting outside too. It's not a big area but it looks a bit dreary at the moment.

"This money will let us involve disabled people more and give them more input into the centre," she added.
