Centenary celebrations are to take place this weekend at a Dales church.
Members of Hackney Methodist Church will hold anniversary activities and are appealing for donations for roof repairs.

The church was built by members of Hackney Primitive Methodist Church in 1908 and is in need of maintenance work to the roof as well as some pointing.

The church will be open to visitors from 10am to 6pm on Saturday. Live music will be playing and displays and memorabilia will be on show. Light refreshments will be available.

On Sunday a service led by Rev Neal Street will take place at 10.30am. A faith lunch is to be held after morning service.

The church will be open to visitors from 2-6pm and a circuit service at 6.30pm will be led by Rev Alan Dawson.

Donations for the appeal can be sent to Brenda Marsden, 7 Gritstone Road, Matlock, DE4 3GB.
