Boy found with knife amid Derbyshire weapons amnesty
At around 4pm on Sunday, May 29, police stopped a boy in Skeavingtons Lane, Cotmanhay, following reports that he was carrying a knife.
Officers said they found him in possession of a blade and he was arrested and later charged.

Hide AdLast week, Derbyshire police and partner agencies launched a six-week knife amnesty across the county. Knives can be deposited in 13 secure bins as part of the amnesty and officers are visiting schools to talk to children about the dangers of carrying a knife – a crime which carries a maximum prison term of four years.
