Brimington lunch club that has been running since 1980s saved from closure
The community was saddened to hear that the lunch club, which had been running at Brimington Community Centre for more than 30 years, was closing its doors in September due to a lack of funding.
But Brimington Parish Council swooped in to rescue the project using a Derbyshire Count Council Action Grant.

Hide AdThe lunch club will now be open to all ages and will see catering students from Chesterfield College hopping on board as for work experience placements.
The club runs on Tuesdays from 12pm. A two-course meal with tea and coffee costs £4.
