Police arrest two women after drugs raid on property in Derbyshire town

A police raid in a Derbyshire town saw two women arrested on suspicion of drugs supply offences.

Officers executed a warrant at an address on Trafalgar Square, Long Eaton on Wednesday, December 7.

Suspected heroin and crack cocaine, along with items believed to be used in the supply of drugs, were found during a search of the property.

Two women aged 42 and 27, who are from the local area, were arrested on suspicion of drugs supply offences. They have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Sergeant Sarah Carlile, of the local safer neighbourhood policing team, said: “We take reports of this type of alleged offending seriously and will be continuing to work closely with our local community to target their concerns.

“If you are concerned about suspicious activity or have concerns of possible county lines drug dealing in your area, please report it as soon as possible day or night – in confidence – online, on the phone or in person. Even the slightest bit of information could help.”
