David Chapman, 51, made the comment to show the bouncer he was a “physical guy” after being told his clothing was stained.
Chapman denied having spilled a drink on his top, arguing that it had a “mottled” design during the row outside Groove around 1am on July 7.

When police arrived he seemed “intoxicated” and “unsteady on his feet” – later telling them “I don’t like the b******s”, the court heard.
The court heard Chapman’s last conviction was in 1989.
District Judge Andrew Davison asked Chapman, who had no legal representation, “what has being a tree surgeon got to do with being a racist and calling people awful names?”
Chapman told him: “There was a clash of egos which was not mentioned - I reiterated I was a physical guy. The bouncer threatened me.

The judge said: “Why did you make these comments? I won’t repeat the words - they’re dreadful. They’re obnoxious words and the starting point is prison.
“I would urge you to get a solicitor.”
Chapman, of Old Road, Chesterfield, admitted causing racially aggravated distress by words.
His case was adjourned pending a pre-sentence report.
