Shirebrook police extend town dispersion order over Bank Holiday weekend

The order which gives officers the power to break up large groups of under 16s came into effect at 5pm today, Friday, April 30 and will last until 5pm on Sunday, May 2.
Police uploaded a map, outlining the areas in Shirebrook which are subjected to the new, temporary measures.

Hide AdEarlier this week, a 24 hour dispersal order was put in place in the centre of the town following incidents of anti-social behaviour.
The order lasted from 5pm on Wednesday, April 28 until 5pm the next day.
In a post on Facebook, Shirebrook SNT said: “This means that persons can be directed to leave for the duration of the order and can be arrested if they fail to comply.
“The reason for this is to act as a deterrent following a recent spate of anti-social behaviour in the area.”
