A spokesperson for EMAS confirmed an ambulance crew had attended the incident and had taken the man to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Earlier this week, the Derbyshire Times revealed that the idea fencing off part of the area had been raised at a meeting of council chiefs and police.

According to an online poll we conducted on the idea, 57% of those who responded said you would support it.
