Newly set up Derbyshire 4x4 Response Team who help stranded motorists host community event

The newly-formed not-for-profit Derbyshire 4x4 Response Team, who are associate members of the nationwide charity, are urging residents to come down to the One To One Training Academy in Birdholme, Chesterfield on Saturday, August 21.
The event which starts from 11am to 3pm aims to raise awareness about the group which is made up of 4x4 vehicle owners and drivers, along with other members working in supporting roles, who volunteer their time and resources to assist their local community.

Hide AdAs part of Derbyshire 4x4 Response, the organisation works to transport critical care workers during times of adverse weather, assist stranded motorists, provide traffic control and marshalling at charity and community events, as well as assisting emergency services.
Their first open day event, offers free tea, coffee and biscuits to visitors and hopes to attract new members to join the team.
There will also be fresh pizza made on site by the Derbyshire 4x4 Response Team chef in his wood fired pizza oven in return for a small donation to cover costs and raise funds for the group.
On the online event page, the group wrote: “Find out who we are, what we're about and how to become a member or how our team can help you, your organisation or your business.
