£100,000 spend on pothole machines
Derbyshire County Council has hired two specialist ‘jetpatcher’ machines to speed up repairs to potholes across the county.
The move is part of the authority’s work to clear the backlog of urgent repairs caused by the extreme wet winter weather.
Hiring the machines will cost £100,000. Roadworkers are already working extra hours to complete the work.
