Shirland homeowner chased burglar
A householder gave chase after catching a suspected burglar in the act.
At about 9.15pm yesterday (Thursday, March 27) the occupants of a house in Main Road, Shirland, heard noises coming from the kitchen.
Going into the room they saw someone running away through the garden and chased him.
Following the incident police have arrested a male on suspicion of burglary.
