Chesterfield’s Horns Bridge roundabout to remain closed overnight due to delays in resurfacing work
Work on the busy junction had been due to complete on September 29, but delays mean the road will now continue to be shut from 8pm to 4am until October 3.
Contractors will then move to West Bars roundabout where similar overnight closures will be in place from October 4 to 8, and October 11 to 15.

Hide AdA spokesperson for Derbyshire County Council, which is carrying out the work, said: "Work has been delayed on the Horns Bridge roundabout and the approaches to it, so will continue tonight (30th Sep) and Fri, Sat and Sun (1 - 3 Oct).
"Please accept our apologies, our contractors have had trouble getting materials. Work will start at 8pm and finish 4am the following morning.
“Once this work is complete our contractors will move to West Bars roundabout so we'd expect that to be closed nights from 4 to 8 Oct, then 11 to 15, from 8.30pm to 2.30am. Again please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and avoid the area if you can. Diversions will be in place.”
Last October, the authority announced it would spend £40m on improving roads and pavements across the county over the next 18 months.
