Staveley lodge official complaint about Clipstone over Marshall row
Marshall, now managing Staveley MW, claims he was asked to leave by current Clipstone chairman Dave Paling after paying to get into last Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw with Handsworth Parramore.

However, Paling claimed: “I am on holiday. I wasn’t at the game. I know nothing about this, but it sounds made up.”

Hide AdMarshall, who has also managed clubs like Hucknall Town, Retford and Southwell City and helped Clipstone to promotion last season, countered: “I am not blind. Dave was at the game and he was the one who gave me my money back.”
Staveley chairman Terry Damms today confirmed: “We have now written to the NCEL and the Nottinghamshire FA to try to seek clarification on the matter in hand.
“I am disappointed that we have had no response from Clipstone in the last week. They’ve not even acknowledged our e-mails – nothing.”
