The Spireites led through Jonathan Smith’s goal just after the half-hour mark but were pegged back when Nick Haughton struck with 16 minutes remaining.
Shwan Jalal made several smart stops, particularly after the break, in what was another superb performance from the Town goalkeeper.

The result keeps Town in 21st but they are now two points from safety.
“I didn’t think we deserved to win it today,” Pemberton said.
“I said before the game that this would be our toughest out of the three that we have had because they have got good players.

“In the end it might be a good point.
“I am disappointed with the result but we have come a long way to be disappointed that we have drawn a game.
“Seven points out of three games is a big haul for us if you looked at us two weeks ago.
“We were a threat but the second-half we found it a little bit difficult at the end.”
He added: “If we are honest, I think their goal was coming.
“We take the point and we move on.”
